- Can withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures
- Non flammable
- Smooth rolled edges for safety
Common Uses
When you need to bundle cables for long term installation, stainless steel cable ties are the logical choice. Their combination of strength and corrosion resistance makes them ideal for situations where the material will be under great stress and where resistance to chemicals may be a necessity. Each of the three choices and alloys available for stainless steel cable ties will prove suitable in certain environments. These cable ties may also be used in installations as varied as affixing signs to signposts to bundling cables in refineries and other severe environments.Choices in Alloys and Materials
201 stainless steel is a very high strength alloy. Its corrosion resistance makes it most appropriate for environments where it will be exposed to contaminants such as car exhaust, rain and other common environmental threats.304 stainless steel is designed for more taxing environments. It has good corrosion resistance and is suitable for environments such as chemical plants. It is weaker and more expensive than 201 stainless steel.
316 stainless steel is extremely corrosion resistant. It is also the weakest of the three available alloys and the most expensive.
