Description of applications:
Used to attach fittings to hose in the agricultural, chemical, oilfield, transportation, dairy, wine and other industries where corrosive environments require the use of stainless fittings and clamps for longer service life.
There is not much written on the history of hoses. They were first invented in Amsterdam in 1672, and were used instead of buckets for fighting fires. The good old rubber hose was patented in 1821 and interestingly, even though PVC was discovered by BF Goodrich in 1925, it appears the pvc hose didn’t come on the scene until the 1960’s.
