Corrosive Environments

Stainless Steel Band, Buckles, & Wing Seals Provide Corrosion Resistance

How do industries that work in corrosive environments benefit from stainless steel products? Stainless steel band, buckles and wing seals are used in environments that are subject to corrosion such as offshore platforms, chemical plants, oil & gas refineries, docks, shipyards, water treatment plants, paper mills, petrochemical plants, and factory insulation to name a few. The most common uses are dock & pier repair, marine & electrical cable bundling, hose attachment, component fastening and more.

Using the proper stainless steel banding tools to tighten and cut the band such as the T001 Cool Tool for band less than .030 or the T402 for bands more than .030 makes the installation very easy. To cut band, use the T545 for band less than .030 and the T550 to cut heavy duty band. Also, available is the T101 Ratchet tool which both tightens and cuts the band. For the PPA Black Coated Band, use the TCP111 for the same purposes.
